Senior MSAT Associate

Overview
The primary purpose of the MSAT Associate is to facilitate the transition of technology (processes, reagents/supplies, equipment) between Process Development (research) and GMP Manufacturing (clinical).   The MSAT associate utilizes technical skills and knowledge-based expertise to perform specialized cell manipulation and perform analytical tests within time-sensitive deadlines.
Your mission
Essential functions:
  • Excellent general lab skills
  • Proficient in standard cell culture procedures including processing and calculations. 
  • Understands study design and is able to follow and give instructions in executing experiments and analytical tests 
  • Performs procedures and maintains accurate documentation in compliance with SOPs and appropriate federal and local regulations
  • Strong hands-on skills in immunological, biochemical, and molecular techniques including flow cytometry, ELISAs, and/or qPCR   
  • Ability to interpret and communicate results of experiment 
Secondary functions:
  • Assists in troubleshooting technical, mechanical and scientific problems
  • Assists training new employees on assigned equipment or assays
  • Proficient in handling complex experiments and multiple tasks  with minimal supervision
  • Understand the goals and objectives of the studies
  • Ability to write study plans, reports, batch records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures as directed
 Work environment:
  • Typical laboratory environment with associated facility noise levels and variety of equipment and reagent/supplies.  
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely handles blood components and is occasionally exposed to temperatures between 8°C to -196°C, liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrogen vapor, dry ice and carbon dioxide.
  • Typical office environment with moderate noise levels and uses phone, computer, office equipment and supplies on a regular basis.

Your profile
Required education and experience[Indicate requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity]
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or other related field.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of cell therapy manufacturing experience or wet lab experience.
  • Experience in molecular, cellular, and/or immunological techniques.

 Preferred education and experience[Indicate requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity]
  • Thorough understanding of qualification/validation activities (process, equipment,etc.).
  • Knowledge of current cGMP.
  • Ability to work productively and to participate in a highly creative and fast-paced environment.  
  • Basic computer/graphing skills, Basic presentation skills, Data analyses software
