(Senior) IT Specialist – Security*

Permanent employee, Full-time · Tuebingen, Munich or remote (Germany)

We are currently seeking full-time a (Senior) IT Specialist - Security* to support our global IT team. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Houston, Tuebingen, and Munich. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success. The position can be located in Tuebingen, Munich or home based (Germany).
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Maintain an overarching security concept, covering identities, clients, on-premise and cloud infrastructure. Protecting our sensitive information is a top priority.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments, identify areas of improvement and align implementation with the operations team.
  • In charge of security monitoring, reporting and handling of incidents. Management of SIEM platform and integration and expansion activities.
  • Improvements of identity management and leading activities towards zero trust.
  • Definition of hardening standards for on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintaining information security SOPs and policies and training end users.

Your profile
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a computer science related field or an IT specialist degree.
  • Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with computer systems validations are a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of Windows and Linux servers as well as virtualization (on-premise, cloud), ideally experience with VMWare, Azure, Nessus, Microsoft 365. Understanding of networking fundamentals is required.
  • High sense of responsibility, hands-on mentality as well as service-oriented approach.
  • ITIL and service management experiences are a plus.
  • Documenting of incidents, as well as service and change requests is a given.
