Senior Flow Core Manager

We are currently seeking a Full Time SENIOR FLOW CORE MANAGER to support our FLOW AND AUTOMATION CORE Department. This position will work, and is based in, Houston, Texas. The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the Flow Core Unit and facility at Immatics.
Your mission
The main responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to the following tasks: 
  • Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot the Flow Core Instruments and support its users 
  • Implement SOP’s for the Core Facility instruments and keep them up to date
  • Train users on the Core Facility instruments and analyses software
  • Actively assist with experimental design, choice of control samples, optimization of flow cytometry protocols, instrument settings, cell sorting and data analysis
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC/QM department to qualify instruments and validate assays.
  • Build an environment for exchange of information between users and Flow Core
  • Tech-scouting activities and implementation support
  • Work on harmonized processes (protocols, antibody panels, analyses, instrument harmonization, analyses workspaces) between the Immatics` sites with the overarching goal to generate reliable and comparable data at both sites.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Management department to qualify instruments and validate assays.
Your profile
The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Experience in Clinical Trial settings (GCP, GMP environment) beneficial
  • Masters degree in Science is Required. PhD is a plus
  • 5+ years of work experience in the Flow Cytometry field in the Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years of work experience in assay development
  • Deep technical understanding of flow cytometers
  • Leadership and managerial skills
  • Service-orientation
