Working @ Immatics

We are currently seeking a Scientist Immunopeptidomics & Proteomics* to strengthen our team in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and preclinical/ clinical development departments. 

The job profile is focused on the characterization and validation of novel HLA presented targets, which will involve but is not limited to these tasks:  

• Characterization of HLA presented peptides using Immatics’ proprietary absolute quantitation technology (AbsQuant®) to identify and validate the best targets for clinical development 
• Development and validation of new proteomics & peptidomics methodologies for target characterization using a diverse set of protein chemistry and mass spectrometry techniques 
• Coordination and project management of target characterization activities involving stakeholders from different departments and disciplines 
• Contribution to the elucidation of the biological mechanisms of novel cryptic targets using various Omics datasets integrated in Immatics’ XPRESIDENT® target discovery and validation platform 

You hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medicine, Pharmacy or have been comparably educated. It is desirable to have a proven track record in proteomics and/or immunopeptidomics and to be skilled in sample preparation techniques for mass spectrometric analysis. 

You show a high motivation to translate your scientific findings into clinical development and application. 
Attention to detail, analytical competence, and strong communication skills are essential for contributing to projects as part of a team and presenting work to internal and external partners. Preferably, you also have previous experience in large-scale data analysis and take careful processing and documentation of your results for granted. A high degree of independent working and fluent communication skills in English is expected.
