We are currently seeking a Full Time RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I for our IMMUNOLOGY DEPARTMENT to support our team. This position will work in Houston, Texas and will be responsible for, The Research Associate’s main responsibility is the faithful conduct of experiments to develop genetic modification and expansion processes of T cells for product development of our allogeneic cell therapy program. This entry level position is a step in which continued growth and maturity sets the foundation for the ability to grow into a completely independent experimenter. As part of a collaborative, highly spirited, hardworking team, the Research Associate I will enjoy a unique opportunity to see the results of his/her efforts directly translated to the development of an allogeneic T cell therapy for cancer.
The main responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to the following tasks:Essential functions:
- Maintain proper experimental documentation and lab notebook daily.
- Perform laboratory work according to SOPs and/or Work Instructions.
- Perform aseptic cell growth and manipulation procedures.
- Aid in conducting functional and phenotypic characterization of cellular products
- Aid in planning individual experiments that contribute to the scientific goal.
- Analyze results from a single assay.
- Responsible for ordering and stocking critical supplies and reagents for experiments and maintain inventories.
- Support day-to-day operations within the US Immunology team.
- Experience in primary cell culture, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and/or general immunological assays.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of diverse individuals.
- Experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
The Research Associate I will work in an office and lab environment with moderate noise levels and uses phone, computer, office equipment and supplies on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could possibly be exposed to hazardous material. Physical demands:
