(Associate) Scientist Clinical Trial Sample Logistics*

Overview
We are currently seeking a (Associate) Scientist Clinical Trial Sample Logistics* to support our team in the development of innovative immunotherapeutic products. You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and clinical development departments. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • You are responsible for clinical trial sample management in a GCP environment
  • You are the main point of contact with Immatics stakeholders and logistics partners, promoting synergies and transparency
  • In addition to your role as sample manager, you are the scientific expert that will represent the integral link between sample management and immunological assays
  • In your role as scientific expert, you are responsible for the qualification and release of laboratories for PBMC isolation of whole blood samples collected during a clinical trial, using relevant immune monitoring assays
  • You liaise with external partners and organize remote or on-site training, while ensuring contractual obligations are met
  • You coordinate
    • PBMC sample processing with clinical site
    • Sample processing with external partners (e.g. PBMC isolation)
    • Sample shipment, handling and receipt, from clinical site working with external partners and different departments within Immatics
    • Sample kitting and distribution to external partners
  • You are responsible to have the overview of and to streamline processes across all different sample types
  • You manage/own central documentation tool/ central tracker and thereby keep the overview of expected received & analyzed samples
  • You review all sample-associated sections of clinical trial documents (e.g. laboratory manual, SOPs)
Your profile
You hold a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine or a related discipline. Knowledge of immunology and/ or oncology is an advantage. 
We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning and very good communication skills in German and English. You have highly developed organizational and communication skills. Accurate documentation of workflows is of highest importance for you. You approach tasks in a structured, reliable and foresighted manner. You are driven by your passion for science to advance the development of our drug candidates into clinical applications that matter for patients.
