Application Engineer*

Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Application Engineer* to strengthen our IT department. You will work in Tübingen/ Munich or Germany home-based in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Germany and Houston (TX). Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success. 
Your mission
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Administer and support our critical software systems, incl. GxP systems such as CTMS and eQMS.
  • Coordinate the application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design, through testing, deployment and maintenance, to ensure business needs are met.
  • Manage critical systems, ensuring availability, reliability, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Install and configure new applications and ensure their integration in existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to application administration and support activities, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to our critical systems.
Your profile
You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Ideally, you have already gained insights into application lifecycle management and related support processes. Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with computer systems validations are a plus. You enjoy close collaboration with global and cross-functional teams, providing application services to our locations in Houston, Munich and Tübingen. You enjoy managing applications across their lifecycle and providing support to end users. According implementation, maintenance and documentation are a given.
 
We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning, and excellent communication skills in German and English. You embrace rapidly changing requirements with an open mind, think outside the box and show a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence.
