We are currently seeking a Part Time AP Specialist I, to support our Accounting team. This position will work under the supervision of the Account Manager and is responsible for processing invoices within the accounting system while confirming the accuracy and validity of each invoice. In addition, the AP Specialist I will maintain the AP inbox. His/her primary responsibility will include offering accounting support to the accounting department.
Essential functions:
- Match all invoices on an everyday basis and send them for approval
- Evaluate and reconcile all vendor statements and manage all inquiries
- Verify that all expense reports comply with company policies
- Monitor vendor calls and address all issues including escalating issues when necessary
- Evaluate vendor balances and resolve all unpaid invoice issue(s)
- Coordinate with various departments and ensure appropriate coding for all invoices
- Assist various departments with purchase orders relating to G/L coding
Secondary functions:
- Complete necessary clerical work for accurate accounting practices
- Export and review financial transactions for accounting department
- Assist during monthly/quarterly/yearly closing

Working environment: This position works in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels and uses phone, computer, office equipment and supplies on a regular basis.

Required education and experience
- Bachelors in Accounting
- Intermediate MS Office experience
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

- Professional writing skills
