We are currently seeking a
Scientist Discovery (f/m/d)
to support our team in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products.
You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and preclinical / clinical development departments. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success. The position is initially limited to two years.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Characterization of the binding pattern and recognized peptide space of T-cell receptors (TCRs) directed against peptide:MHC tumor targets.
- Performance of in silico predictions and contribution to the advancement of prediction tools for relevant off-target toxicity peptides by database guided strategies and integration of data from different “-omics” (transcriptomics, immunopeptidomics) and high-throughput screenings.
- Coordination of your work in close interaction with scientific experts from various departments. This includes communication and presentation in internal meetings and towards external partners.
- Contribution to the filing of regulatory and intellectual property documents.
You hold a PhD degree in life sciences or biotechnology and have a proven track record in cancer biology and/ or immunotherapy. Ideally you have gained insights into peptide:MHC binder characterization and biologics development.
You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team and with large datasets from different scientific fields. Knowledge in mass spectrometry or relational databases is an advantage. You take careful processing and documentation of your results for granted. Your scientific excellence, extraordinary analytical competence and communication skills enable you to successfully contribute to projects as part of a team and to present your work internally or to external partners from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
