We are currently seeking a
Manager Biobanking (f/m/d)
to support our team in the research and development of innovative immunotherapeutic products.
You will work in Tuebingen (Germany) in an interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from all research and preclinical/ clinical development departments. Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success. The position is initially limited to two years.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- You support our team with human tissue sample acquisition and you actively contribute to the development of our biobanking network comprising commercial and academic partners.
- You are responsible for the diligent documentation of tissue samples in our relational database and constantly improve the existing documentation structure in close collaboration with our Bioinformatics Department.
- You are primarily responsible for the structured and queryable annotation of tissue samples. In this role, you will optimize the hierarchical structure of clinically relevant search terms, design standardized and queryable sample annotations and monitor the correct assignment of these annotations.
- To promote the development of our targets, you will independently research any tissue-related topics based on scientific literature and medical textbooks.
You hold a Master’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine or a related discipline and have proven your excellence. Ideally, you have gained deep insights into human anatomy, histology and pathology. Knowledge of immunology and/ or oncology is an advantage.
We expect a high degree of independent working, analytical reasoning and excellent communication skills in English. A very good knowledge of German (CEFR level B2) is an advantage. You take careful processing and documenting of your results for granted. Accurate documentation of work flows and results is of highest importance for you. You embrace rapidly changing requirements with an open mind and show a high degree of flexibility in an environment which is marked by a constant striving for excellence.
