We are currently seeking full/ part time a
Data Engineer - Bioinformatics (f/m/d)
to support R&D team to develop innovative immunotherapeutic products for cancer therapy.
You will work in Tuebingen in a preclinical interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from Discovery, Immunology and Bioinformatics. Your analytical reasoning and your organizational skills will contribute to the team’s success.
We offer a wide range of responsibilities in the field of applied bioinformatics. Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Integration and modeling of life science data from various assays and analytical techniques for the extension of Immatics’ target discovery database XPRESIDENT®
- Development of complex SQL queries for data mining and customized support of biological questions
- Design and implementation of database user interfaces
- Maintenance and extension of database and server infrastructure to facilitate Big Data acquisition and analysis
You hold a master’s degree in bioinformatics or have successfully completed a similar training and are proficient in SQL and at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Perl, C++, Java. You are experienced in frontend and backend development of relational databases. You have knowledge of working in a Linux environment and are familiar with basic biological concepts and bioinformatics tools.
